Sed por aprender – Thirst for learning
He leído que Nelson Mandela últimamente leía libros de letra grande porque la vista le había empezado a abandonar. Pero a sus 94 años, aún tenía sed por aprender. El día de graduación de su bisnieto Luvuyo, en el año 2009, le llamó para felicitarle y le dio un consejo: «es genial que hayas conseguido tu primer título, pero esto no se para aquí. Sigue aprendiendo, como yo hago. Hasta que seas anciano y mueras nunca pares de aprender. Porque el día que dejas de aprender, empiezas a ser irrelevante».

I have read that Nelson Mandela lately read large printed books because he couldn’t see well anymore. But at the age of 94 years old, he still had thirst for learning. At the graduation day of his great-grandson Luvuyo in 2009, he called him to congratulate him and gave him some advice: «It’s great that you’ve got your first title, but this does not stop here. Keep learning, as I do and never stop learning until you’re old and die. Because the day you stop learning, you start to become irrelevant».
