Leading by example
Leaders who arrive late for meetings or cancel at the last minute, do not answer their emails or are very late, and do not fulfil their commitments, erode trust and credibility, generating disarray and demotivation in their team.
The causes can be multiple: overload of responsibilities, poor time management, poorly established priorities, lack of personal organisation or neglect of details.
Improving these aspects involves leading by example, demonstrating respect and consideration for others’ time, communicating clearly and transparently, thus inspiring the team to align with the leader’s vision and the organisation.
‘Personal organisation is the key to productivity; it is the art of organising our actions according to our priorities’. – Brian Tracy
